Anacapa Valuation prepares calculations of value and valuations estimating values for closely held operating businesses, i.e. C and S corporations, limited liability companies (LLCs), partnerships, or proprietorships, and holding companies (i.e. real estate limited partnerships (RELPs), LLCs, family limited partnerships (FLPs), or fractional interest (co-tenancies) real property holdings. We understand discounts for lack of control and lack of marketability, as well as fractional interest discounts for real estate.
We assist clients to understand the drivers of value of their business. We work with CPAs and attorneys to plan valuation needs and review real estate appraisals for estate and gift reporting and marital dissolution engagements. Our principal understands the needs of corporate Boards for sound valuations for stock option compensation plans to meet the requirements of Internal Revenue Section 409A.
When challenged by the IRS, in court, in arbitration, in mediation or during negotiation, Anacapa Valuations has worked with attorneys to successfully defend our business valuations.
